Officina della Scrittura is the first museum in the world dedicated to the Sign, through a major project that bears witness to the birth and evolution of an extraordinary invention, that of non-oral communication. A veritable "citadel of knowledge", Officina della Scrittura is the place where everything linked to the culture of writing and, more generally, to the human sign is presented and enhanced: from cave paintings to the various forms of contemporary communication.

A unique museum of its kind that presents a perfect mix of technology and tradition, through an organic path that with its different souls tells, excites and educates the public of all ages. More than 2,500 square metres divided into distinct but deeply interconnected areas: from the story of the origins of the sign, to the first Remington typewriter; from the journey inside writing to the section dedicated to the history of fountain pens, where it is possible to appreciate a selection of the 13 iconic pens of the 20th century, such as Waterman’s 22 of 1896 and the Hastil Aurora designed by Marco Zanuso in 1970 and exhibited at the MoMA in New York.

In addition to the interior spaces of the museum, it will also be possible to enjoy an outdoor route, recently enhanced by the work of artist Osvaldo Neirotti, who worked on a Land Art project on three centuries-old magnolias in the Officina della Scrittura courtyard.
