Museo della Radio e della Televisione

Museum
Design
The Rai Radio and Television Museum is a space designed to experience the emotions of the history of communication, in an atmosphere reminiscent of the magic of television. From the On Air Museum, the 9th TV studio of the Rai Production Centre in Turin, it is possible to watch live broadcasts of Rai programmes. We embrace the present, we value the past, we open up to the future are the words with which we like to introduce ourselves.

Our mission is to take Museum guests on a journey through time, where past, present and future become one and the attention to detail conveys beauty and harmony. The search for uniqueness and universality inspired the complete renovation of the Museum, whose new layout was inaugurated on 26 September 2020. Since then it has been hosting thematic events that allow visitors to learn about Rai and its history in an experiential way.

#LESSISMORE is our way of expressing innovation, with lightness and simplicity. Fire, Water, Air and Earth are the four elements that inspired the Museum’s evocative video.

To discover the fifth element, however, it is necessary to visit the historic building of the Rai TV Production Centre in Turin, in Via Verdi 16.

From the 1930s with the first radios, to the 1950s with the birth of the RAI and the first TV icons: Mike Bongiorno, Raffaella Carrà, and then the most popular programmes, from Rischiatutto to Quelli che il Calcio, from Festivalbar to I Migliori Anni, up to the latest editions of the Sanremo Festival.
